Ákos Szente-Szabó

Ákos Szente-Szabó was born in Barót and began his studies in Eger. He graduated the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts, Graphic Department. Additionally to the unique drawing, respectively to the high- , deep- and plain techniques he was always interested in painting. After he joined the artists group at Szolnok Artists Colony, graphic art seemed to be a bit overshadowed in his creations. This period brought a lot of changes in his art style, in his choosing of themes and tools, and also in his visual framework. Oil paint took the place of aquarelle. As a result of the calm environment and by cause of the human and professional influences, the earlier problem centered approach and the dry and objective phrasing, turned into a more relaxed, into a more impassioned expression. He started his first independent art exhibition in Eger and since then he regularly appears in national and international, individual or groups exhibitions.
